10 Crack Commandments For Your 20’s
This author had his Spotify on shuffle one Sunday.
10 Crack Commandments by The Notorious B.I.G played and got me inspired to write this.
The following commandments are modified for living in your 20’s instead of selling crack. Biggie’s bars are used as a template:
“There’s rules to this, so I wrote myself a manual.”
“A step-by-step booklet for you to get”:
1. “Never let no one know how much dough you hold cause you know”
That’s just common sense.
It’s extremely easy to tell when your payday is by looking at your Instagram stories.
2. “Never let them know your next moves”
To quote another Hip Hop mogul, “real G’s move in silence like lasagna”.
3. “Number three, never trust no-bo-dy”
We’re conditioned to think the way we do. It’s important to unlearn a lot of it and question everything (and everyone) moving forward.
4. “Know you heard this before, never get high on your own supply”
This could mean different things for different people. Take it how it is.
5. “Never sell no crack where you rest at. I don’t care if they want a ounce, tell ’em bounce!”
Have a work and home life, keep a balance, and work harder to relax just as much.
6. “That god damn credit? Dead it.”
Yes, credit is important but it doesn’t need to be used for unneeded things.
This author can tell you swiped your credit card when your Instagram stories aren’t aligned with your payday.
7. “This rule is so underrated. Keep your family and business completely separated”
While it may be true for business, it could also mean to prioritize family and friends before work.
8. “Never keep no weight on you”
Again, it’s a fact when selling crack but it could also mean to stop being fat.
Go to the gym and workout.
9. “Number 9 shoulda been Number 1 to me, if you ain’t gettin’ bagged stay away from police”
To quote another Hip Hip mogul, “F*** the police comin’ straight from the underground”
On a more serious note, avoiding a criminal record as best as you can in your 20’s (and in life) goes a long way.
10. “A strong word called” compounding
This was the only bar that was modified. Compounding is key in your 20’s.
In money, relationships, and life. Invest, trust, and be patient. The earlier the better.
The rest can speak for itself:
“Follow these rules you’ll have mad bread to break up”
