“Happy Friday”
Is a saying this author hears at least once a week. There’s never a happy Tuesday or Wednesday.
It’s always the Friday that’s delightful.
The phrase pops up every Friday during touchpoint meetings with fellow coworkers.
Employees greet each other with a “Happy Friday”.
(almost as if they’re part of a cult that practices joy only on Fridays).
Saying a day is happy because the weekend follows, robs joy out of the everyday.
This author is a hypocrite because he too looks forward to the weekend.
(it’s being worked on to prevent that).
This was written on a Thursday.
If you’re reading this, “Happy Friday” was spoken by a coworker on the cult acclaimed day.
