If We Were Cannibals, What Parts Of People Would We Eat?

Small talk is an audition for conversations before discussing things we truly feel.

This author is too big for small talk and dreads being in situations that require it. I’d much rather get Calvin’s question instead of an observation about the weather.

It’s not that some people lack inquisitive minds. They choose not to entertain the idea because they claim to be ‘above it’. Having a PhD in Biology doesn’t mean you can’t have a sense of humour. Conversations shouldn’t be treated as a zero sum game, because they aren’t.

Next time you’re presented with an opportunity to discuss a topic like this, take it. If no topic presents itself, present it.

Now to answer Calvin’s fun thought experiment:

• Thighs would be a safe bet because of the abundance in meat and fat (similar to pork loin).
• Fingers would be our version of buffalo wings (‘nails on or off’ would spark another ‘drums or flats’ type debate)
• Contrary to Calvin, I think human drumsticks would be from our wrists to the elbow. (like a turkey leg but larger)
• Most women would most likely be in the A5 Grade section. Especially for the breasts and bacon.

On those notes, remember to not take yourself too seriously and ponder these questions when you do.
