Perfection From Old Man In A Crowded Subway

It’s a packed subway during rush hour (before Covid-19). I squeeze in the crowd and hope the doors close before an old couple try make their way in. To this author’s disappointment, they manage to add to the already crowded sub.

The man stares at and tells me “Goa is a great place in India”. An odd conversation starter but got a conversation started. They exit to the next station and before the doors close, he points to me and says:

“Perfection is when the young know what the old know, or when the old can do what the young can”
