The Old Fashioned Mop

Sometimes innovation isn’t required.

A device that mops is an example.

When did we ever need a technology to mop floors?

The piece of plastic is designed to have hot steam as you mop.

It comes with a cable.

a cable.

When did mops ever need power?

The cable isn’t wide enough to walk across rooms with; and it requires you to unplug and replug between rooms.

To make matters worse, it always comes in the way when mopping.

Once the cable is plugged, the device requires 30 seconds to create steam. That means for half a minute, you’re just standing there waiting to mop.

Everything about this stupid mop is inconvenient.

It’s evolving, just backwards.

The old fashioned mop has four components:

mop, bucket, soap, and water.

It’s wireless, it works, and doesn’t need half a minute breaks to recharge.

Dip it in a bucket, it’s ready to go. Any speed guarantees a wet floor.

The steamer mop is an example of a dumb design. Innovation that led to inconvenience.

The old fashioned mop works. Its simplicity is convinient.

Why fix what’s not broke?

Remember to not get fooled by ‘innovation’.

Always question whether something is a steamer mop.
